Before the memory fades, I thought I might give some feedback in my recent adventure.

1. Firstly, I would like to say that I would (and already have) recommend Berber treasures to my friends for a trip to Morocco. I had a great time.
2. You should probably give Mo (our driver) a pay rise. What a great ambassador for your company!! Nothing was too much hassle for him, and he was also very professional, courteous and friendly. He was a great driver in terms of navigating the traffic and we always felt safe with his driving…I could not recommend Mo highly enough.
3. The accommodation provided was excellent, with standouts being…Fes and…Ouarzazate.

A fascinating and diverse country, with a new twist at every turn. Something every day made me rethink my perceptions. All in all I had a great time. I would highly recommend both Morocco and Berber Treasures…thanks for a great holiday.

Angus and I are presently sitting in the absolutely divine Fes [riad]…and feeling as though we never want to leave.

Ahmed has proved to be a wonderfully patient and obliging driver and guide. We think he is wonderful.

Our overnight camp in the Erg Chebbie sand dunes was a highlight, but everything has been brilliant…from the accommodation and scenery to the overwhelming sights, sounds and smells of Morocco…and we’re only half way through!

We are home again after a side trip to NZ and we have now been able to think about our Moroccan journey. We thought it was a very good trip and well put together.

It was very easy dealing with you and we thank you for your part in making the trip as pleasant and rewarding as it was.

The organisation: This was excellent and the trip information was very complete and included much background detail that helped us understand what we were seeing.

The Journey: A very complete experience of Morocco and its people. It was apparent that Berber [Treasures] had taken a lot of care to show us the many facets of Morocco and Moroccan life. It was noticeable and appreciated that efforts were made to include something of interest every day even if an overnight stay was a ‘rest stop’. It’s difficult to select highlights of the trip as it was all ‘mind opening’ but one memory among many which will stay with me was the khettara and the oasis which it watered at Merzouga.

Our driver guide: Hamme was our driver and a very good one. Careful and assured out of the cities and competent in traffic.

Desert Camp: Here Berber has excelled. The whole experience was first rate. The location, the tents, the dinner, the showers, the beds, watching the sunrise, the breakfast and the drive out were all really good. Incidentally the beds were the softest we had experienced in five weeks of travelling. We slept well!

We enjoyed our time in Morocco and our driver (Abraham-Brahim Belqacem) was very good. We now understand the “family” Berber structure as you told us about during our initial enquiries. During our travels we got to experience things that the average traveller may not get to do — will always remember our quick drop in to our drivers mothers house when passing and being invited in to share dates and mint tea! The whole trip was excellent and the city tour guides were very knowledgable also.

As you know I asked lots of questions before booking but can now say your company did a great job and would be happy to recommend your services to all!

The only negative comments we would have were firstly our own “unpreparedness” for the trip — Should have done some more research as I had a different picture in mind — Morocco is not a modern country and is not all desert (I pictured it being similar to Dubai — how wrong was I!!) That said it was a great surprise to discover something different every day — one day in the medina in Fes watching the craftsmen, then the drive over the middle Atlas through cold rainy tree covered mountains to decend on the other side and arrive on the edge of great Sand dunes near Merzouga and then a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi desert!!

All the accomodation was wonderful.

We would however like to say thanks for a great and memorable experience!

On Monday 5th May, my husband, son and myself embarked on your Tour 10 of Morocco. What a wonderful time we had! Our driver was ABDUL, an amazing young man who was so helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Nothing was ever too difficult for him. I stress this because my husband and I are over 75 and the other couple who came with us were not young, which meant that Abdul probably had more than his share of lifting bags on the vehicle etc than might normally be the case. Fortunately our son…helped out wherever possible but we applaud Abdul for the way in which he looked after us. The Tour itinerary was so well planned. We saw so many different aspects of life in Morocco and thoroughly enjoyed sharing the cultural experiences of the people. We will not hesitate in recommending your company to others who are looking for an adventure in Morocco. Our very best wishes to you from

Jan and I arrived home today. Thank you for organising our trip. We had a wonderful trip thanks to your advice and organising. Abdel did a very conscientious job and drove us very safely, providing good guidance and care along the way. The desert camp experience…Interesting experience…Spectacular dune formation, orange coloured sand…Good food…the Gheris valley from Amellago to Tatattchoute was spectacular with some cliffside dwellings, small towns and narrow green strip along the river. Fun walk in the town with local kids everywhere…Another great tagine meal. Todra Gorge was spectacular with 300 m high cliffs…a spectacular drive up the valley of the Dades River into the Dades Gorge…then a serious off road track to the west to the M’Gouna valley. Stopped on the way at a nomad camp where a family of 8 live in a cave and some tents…the grandfather…was resting in the cool cave where his daughter in law made us oregano based tea (heaps of sugar)…We all enjoyed the encounter…Down the very picturesque valley to El K’elaa [and] the valley of roses…to an isolated luxury place…near Ouarzazate where we enjoyed a swim…Sumptuous rooms…on the edge of a lake [near] a villa owned by the King…we crossed the spectacular [High Atlas Mountain] pass Tizi n’Tichka at 2200m…into the head of the Ourika Valley for a real surprise…fabulous…could easily have stayed longer than one night…the [Essaouira] riad was…stunningly delightful…: [Marrakech] Fabulous guide and the magnificent Majorelle gardens…

We arrived back in Sydney on Sunday after a fabulous tour in Morocco. I have attached only a few photographs from the trip (many more available). All the arrangements went well, the driver/guide Abdul was excellent. His level of English, explanation of various sites of interest and his level of service and courtesy was “second to none”…wonderful. Being from nomad family was also very important for us as we were able to ask many questions and gain a genuine knowledge of this unique and mysterious way of life. We will continue to recommend to our friends to consider Morocco via Berber Treasures…Again, thank you for a wonderful experience and congratulations on having an excellent team on the ground representing Berber treasures.

A great trip and Moha was a great guiude/driver/friend.

The children had a great time. It was a great family experience…the bike riding…the camels and the night in the desert… eating mechoui with Khadisha’s family…the riad in Marrakech. I am recommending your company to families here. If you have other families thinking of a holiday in Morocco I am happy for you to get them to call me.
